EveryMatrix secures licensing approval in Alberta Canada

August 12, 2026

EveryMatrix has received conditional licensing approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC) to offer its iGaming technology in the Canadian province. The approval positions the supplier to provide casino and sports platform technologies to licensed operators in Alberta ahead of the market’s expected launch in July this year.

Alberta will become Canada’s second regulated iGaming territory following Ontario, which opened to private operators in 2022. EveryMatrix already holds a licence in Ontario and has now expanded its Canadian footprint into this emerging provincial market.

Platform and Content Deployment

At launch, EveryMatrix will offer premium titles from its in-house studio, Fantasma Games, alongside aggregated content from its casino library. The company has indicated further opportunities to expand its portfolio in the province as the market develops.

The supplier has already secured commercial agreements in Alberta to deliver both platform technology and proprietary gaming content to operators preparing for market entry.

Strategic North American Expansion

The Alberta approval strengthens EveryMatrix’s position as a tier-1 provider across North America. The company now holds licences in multiple jurisdictions including Ontario, New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

This multi-jurisdictional licensing strategy enables EveryMatrix to support operators with expansion plans across the continent, offering consistent technology and compliance frameworks adapted to local regulatory requirements.

Market Potential and Demographics

Alberta represents a high-potential iGaming jurisdiction with a population of approximately five million residents. The province demonstrates high digital adoption rates and maintains one of the strongest GDP per capita profiles in North America, creating favorable conditions for online gaming operators.

The combination of economic strength and digital readiness positions Alberta as an attractive market for both operators and suppliers entering Canada’s expanding regulated iGaming landscape.

Rani Axon, Market Manager, North America at EveryMatrix, said: “Entering Alberta marks an exciting step for the Group as we expand further into one of North America’s most attractive regulated markets. This approval shows the strength of our compliance team and our readiness to meet regulatory requirements in any market.”

The July launch timeline gives operators and suppliers a defined window to complete technical integrations and prepare commercial operations for Alberta’s entry into the regulated iGaming sector.
